Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre (the ‘NCS’) is a dedicated sixth form centre which opened in September 2014 in iconic Grade 2 listed buildings on the East Ham Town Hall Civic Complex.  Our A Level results are outstanding with 90% A*/B and 99% A*/C.   The centre provides a stimulating education and personalised curriculum within a supportive environment in which students are en­couraged to stretch themselves academically to achieve their potential. The NCS offers an academic A Level Curriculum with a specialism in Sci­ence and Maths, alongside strong pathways in Hu­manities. The A Level Curriculum and the extra-curricular programme is focused on preparing students for progression to highly competitive universities in the UK and abroad.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic Science Technician with A-level Biology Speciality to join our committed team to provide effective and efficient learning support.

Attention to detail is key, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet critical deadlines. On top of this, you should be able to demonstrate excellent practical skills.

In this post, you will play an instrumental role in providing high quality level of A-level Biology learning support. Excellent practical skills in assembling experiments and demonstrations for A-level Biology classes as well as the ability to co-operate with Health and Safety legislations are an essential part of the role.
